To celebrate the release of our NEW cookbook (containing 100+ donated recipes from DC Diamonds supporters & local restaurants), we’re hosting a cooking class to preview some of the recipes inside & celebrate the end of Spirit Week 2021! Join D.C. Diamonds volunteer & avid home cook PJ Weaver as he shows you how to make a margarita (cocktail or mocktail), restaurant-style guacamole, and a queso blanco dip!
Ingredient List:
- Margarita
- One Orange
- Two Limes
- Tequila (seltzer for mocktail)
- sea salt
- sweetener of your choice (Honey, Agave, Or Simple Syrup)
- Guacamole
- 4 ripe avocados
- 2 roma tomatoes
- one small onion
- one jalapeno
- Two Limes
- One Bunch cilantro
- Salt/Pepper/Garlic Powder
- Queso Blanco
- 1 block regular cream cheese (8 oz.)
- 1 pound white american cheese
- salted butter
- 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies
- 3-4 Tablespoons milk
- Other supplies:
- Tortilla Chips of your choice
- Two large bowls
- An oven-safe pan or casserole dish
- Chef’s Knife & Cutting Board
- A short glass (for your marg)
- Cocktail shaker or Mason jar (optional)
- Plastic Wrap (for storing leftovers)
